Tonawanda American Little League Volunteer Rules
The volunteer fee the 2025 Season is $_______ and will be added to your registration fees.
This volunteer fee is required to encourage volunteering at TALL throughout the season.
There will only be one volunteer fee requirement for each family regardless of how many children are signed up to play.
Please inquire about the many ways to volunteer by contacting a board member, your team coach, or your team parent.
Volunteering to coach, assistant coach, or be a team parent will meet your volunteer requirement. All who do so will have their volunteer fees returned at season’s end. Base coaches and bench coaches are very helpful and necessary, but only the head coach and one assistant coach may receive their volunteer fees back. Jump on these opportunities quickly.
Volunteering at the Snack Stand is a way to meet your volunteer requirement. One night at the snack stand will earn you half of your volunteer fee back. Two nights at the snack stand will earn you all of your volunteer fee back. Volunteering at the Snack Stand is coordinated by the team parent.
There will be a logbook at the Snack Stand. After volunteering at the Snack Stand, sign the logbook kept at the stand. At season’s end all names entered into the logbook will have their volunteer fee returned via check or directly to the bank account used to pay for registration.
If you choose to volunteer during spring cleanup day, or year-end winterization day this will help meet your volunteer requirement. Be sure to sign the logbook once cleanup is finished.
If you decide not to volunteer your fee will be donated to the league. Be assured it will be used for league improvements and field maintenance. If this is your choice of action it is perfectly alright and acceptable. However, volunteering and putting forth the effort to make your child’s experience better is very rewarding and a huge help overall.
When considering how to volunteer please understand that TALL is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. All the work that goes into making the league function is completed by volunteers. No one in any position at TALL receives any sort of monetary compensation. The payment we all receive is the smile on the kid’s faces and the fun they have while playing the wonderful game of baseball. This is what it’s all about and this is why your commitment to volunteering is so important. Thank you for all you do.
