Team Parent Program

Volunteering to be the Team Parent is a great way to meet your volunteer requirement. It helps to ease some of the responsibilities that are asked of the coaches. The Team Parent is a partner to the coaches and will help with communication to the team and help organize team responsibilities throughout the season. It will be the coaches responsibility to assign a Team Parent. The coach will communicate to the league commissioner who has volunteered to be the Team Parent. The commissioner will keep a log of who has volunteered. There can only be one Team Parent per team. Listed below are some of the responsibilities that will be asked of the Team Parent.

  • Organize the team basket for the Opening Day basket raffle. At the Opening Day ceremonies there is a 50/50 and basket raffle. This is to help raise money for league maintenance and improvements.
  • Collect for Snack Stand tokens to be distributed after games. After each game every player gets $1 worth of tokens to spend at the Snack Stand. The kids absolutely love this. It just might be the highlight of their day at the field.
  • Hand out picture forms to families and pass out pictures when they arrive.
  • Help coaches maintain communication with the team if necessary
  • If at season’s end you wish to get the coaches a gift, the Team Parent will collect and take the lead on purchasing this gift.

We truly appreciate your commitment to volunteering. Thank you for you all you do!
